Il dipinto Santa Rita da Cascia con devoti è stato realizzato nel 1938 da Antonio Maria Nardi.
Fino al 1928 stava la pala, centinata, con Maria Vergine in gloria, il S. Cristoforo con il Bambino in spalla e S. Antonio da Vienna, opera del pittore Matteo Ghidoni detto dei Pitocchi. Attualmente il dipinto è conservato in sacrestia.

Tradizionalmente la figura di Santa Rita è collegata al dono di una rosa. Particolare che si spiega con un episodio della sua vita, quando ormai prossima alla morte era costretta a letto e si nutriva pochissimo. Ricevendo la visita di una parente le chiese una rosa dall’orto. La visitatrice obiettò che si era in pieno inverno ma Rita insistette.
Così rientrata a casa con la parente, con grande stupore, trovò una bella rosa che colse portandola alla santa la quale la consegnò alle consorelle

Until 1928 there was the arched altarpiece with the Virgin Mary in glory, St. Christopher with the Child on his shoulder and St. Anthony of Vienna, the work of the painter Matteo Ghidoni known as dei Pitocchi. The painting is currently kept in the sacristy.

Traditionally the figure of Santa Rita is connected to the gift of a rose. A detail that can be explained by an episode in her life, when she was close to death and was confined to bed and ate very little. Receiving a visit from a relative he asked her for a rose from the garden. The visitor objected that it was the middle of winter but Rita insisted.
So when she returned home with her relative, to her great amazement, she found a beautiful rose which she picked and took to the saint who gave it to her sisters.
